Most Popular Excellent Rolex Sky-Dweller’s Design
The look of the Rolex Sky-Dweller is revolutionary for a company that typically updates its tried-and-tested timeless designs at an almost frozen pace. The three original models released in 2012, in yellow gold, stellar gold and white gold, are unlike any other timepiece in the replica Rolex line-up.
Described as the quintessential watch for the world traveller, combining an annual calendar and a GMT indicator tracking dual time zones, they are designed to give globetrotters all the information they need at a glance, all in the understated Rolex style.
To achieve this goal, fake Rolex made its structural and fundamental technical debut with the Yacht-Master II, which appeared a few years ago. The Sky-Dweller is equipped with an innovative circular command bezel, a multifunctional component combined with a winding crown that controls the various operations of the watch.
However, while the Yacht-Master II had to rely on the addition of buttons to activate some functions, such as the instantaneous synchronization function, the Sky-Dweller’s groundbreaking three-position bezel does not require any additional buttons, giving the watch a more elegant, minimalist line.
Powering everything is the calibre 9001. With 380 individual parts, it is the most complex movement ever designed by Rolex and the second-highest jewel. It controls the Swiss watchmaker’s first annual calendar complication, named SAROS, after the 18-year cycle of the Sun, Earth and Moon in Greek. It is a simple and clever mechanism that compensates for the 30- and 31-day months and, thanks to the exceptional number of days in February, only needs to be reset once a year on March 1.
Apart from the impressive number of parts (60 parts used in the bezel alone), the Cal. 9001 is equipped with everything we would expect from a modern copy Rolex. Certified by the COSC (Swiss Official Chronometer Testing Institute), this in-house movement features a Parachrom bleu hairspring, Paraflex shock absorption, and a 72-hour power reserve.
